    the one thing I would try, which you might have tried directly or indirectly (through a restart) is going to task manager, finding "Windows Explorer", right-clicking, and hitting "restart". Restarting explorer.exe might bring back the tray icon. Or might not. It probably wouldn't mess anything up though. I hope.

    You might have already tried them all.
    At the risk of being redundant, may I make 3 suggestions:
    1. At the System Tray area, left click at the pointer > does Windows Security icon appear?
    KB5007186 Windows 10 2004 19041.1348, 20H2 19042.1348, 21H1 19043.1348-hidden-icons.jpg

    2. Go to Settings > Personalization> Taskbar > right side, Notification Area> Select which icons appear on taskbar> left side, scroll to Windows Security notification icon > turn it ON.

    3. At the search bar, type Windows Security > at the top, Right click at Windows Security > Pin to Taskbar.

    Did this update remove Windows Security tray icon for anyone else? Can't find it in startup either.
    Open an administrator command prompt (cmd.exe) and run (make sure you are connected to the Internet):

    dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth && sfc /scannow

    1 & 2: I've set it that all icons are visible.
    3: I didn't find the "pin" option.

    I did run those. No issues were found.

    I didn't try that, but i don't think it would fix it.

    At first i thought that this update made it that, if there's a 3rd party AV software installed, the icon won't be shown. But in task manager>startup, Windows Security notification icon wasn't listed anymore. I uninstalled the AV, but nothing changed. Since i couldn't uninstall KB890830 too, i restored my system and since then it works correctly.

    So i take it that all of guys that did update, don't have this issue right?

    Suggestion #3 screenshot....... Right click does not give you the Pin option?

    I found it now. I just shouldn't have searched it in english. But, after the system restoration, windows notified me for new updates again and this time KB890830 wasn't included. I updated and this time eveything is ok.
