Patch Tuesday, second Tuesday of the month, is when MS release their latest bunch of security fixes.

I hope someone has an opinion about the update. I don't want to be caught in an update that causes bugs

All updates cause bugs. It's just that some updates cause more bugs than others, and some bugs are more noticeable than others.

There's an interesting "Patch Watch" on Ask Woody (AskWoody) that advises on when it's more or less safe to install patches. Susan Bradley advises that you postpone WU for a couple of weeks (just click 7 days two or three times) and then she posts the results of input from the community on the recent patches. It's worthwhile looking into.

It's Patch Tuesday (PT). The second Tuesday of every month, MS releases those security cumulative updates. They are also known as B releases. Those non-security updates that are released on third or fourth week of the month are known as out-of-band releases and also known as C and D releases respectively.

Installed fine on my desktop and '21 model laptop but my old atom has the invalid signature detected red banner when I try to boot it. It's running emmc storage so no disconnecting it.

I ended up clean installing windows again.

Same idea. If you sign up for the free newsletter, too, you'll get news from Susan on when it's a good time to pause updates and when it's a good time to resume them. That way, you don't have to keep checking back on the site to get the news.

" There could be a problem in the update if many need repairs. "...........the reason why you better wait , with these updates, till second tuesday of the month , this way M$ might eliminate bugs , which you encounter by installing the preview ............
