The fact is that you can always obtain the updates from Microsoft manually, they do not (AFIK) check eligibility for the updates.

Microsoft has stated that support will not be provided if you install on a non compliant system and have issues. This does sound like a legal statement - A get out Clause.
People may well be fine running Win 11 on a non compliant system, but they will be on their own if it goes wrong, ( or relient on the good folks here to help them out)
In 40 years of using MS software (go MSBASIC!), I have never once, not ever, gotten a lick of help from them for any issue. We have pretty much been on our own all along (unless, I suppose, if you are an Enterprise user). I totally rely on the community for help and comparing notes and whatnot.

At one time I was dealing with hardware and software specification, purchase, installation, and maintenance, and got a lot of assistance from most suppliers, but none from Microsoft directly, the OS at the time was NT 3.1, NT4.0 and NT5.0, (Windows 2000), and so luckily I did not require much, if any, OS help, those OS's just worked

I still think Windows 2000 was the best Windows - It was my daily driver for nearly 10 years, and could handle anything I threw at it without a hiccup.

Using 10 Home so no GPEdit. No big deal as only see it maybe once a week but is there another way of doing this.

Maybe MS will start using the space to promote their hardware soon!!! - LOL
Run this batch file in command prompt using admin and you will have GPEdit enabled.

    gpedit-enabler.bat

Does it have its full functions or is it a viewer, without the ability to change Windows' settings, as reported by others who have tried to add it to Home?
Group Policy Editor on Home is just a viewer [Brink #3] - TenForums

    All the best,

I'm going to wait, if I can, until machines are out with the OS already installed on them. I've just had a quick look in my Device Manager and apparently I have TPM 2 showing under Security on this HP laptop, but hopefully it won't be installed as there isn't enough room for it.

I want to keep this one on 10 and buy a new machine with 11.

I gave my mother my old R9 3900X so her machine would qualify for 11 and then I clean installed it for her. It didn't take very long to restore her apps so she's happy and now that everything in the house has been upgraded I can get back to doing other things.

If it shows under Device Manager than what you have is the firmware-based TPM that is there and ready to use.

TPM function is provided by the firmware if your processor is 8th gen so you just need to enable it. Look for a function called PTT in the BIOS. What's your motherboard model number?
    @RFS
    Manufacturer Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd.Model B360M HD3 (U3E1)

    Edit:
I was able to enable TPM. I tried before but was unable to do so, go figure...
Now I have to find an easy way to change to EUFI from LEGACY

I did go through methods posted on the forums but I am confused.

    Edit
command prompt mbr2gpt failed. using recovery>troubleshooting>advance.

Does this means I have to reinstall windows downloading windows media tool?
