Windows 11 update runs automatically on my well-below spec computer

Windows 11 Windows update has been running automatically on my below-spec upgraded computer and has installed updates without any action being taken on my part. I listed the particular updates in post #285.

After blocking the 11-upgrade in gpedit , the annoying message in WU ( not compatible , etc, bla) is gone...........!!
Maybe I didn't do the Group Policy settings correctly, but the WU message that my PC is good to go for 11 is still showing. I'm currently already on 21H2, so put that in the 2nd box with Windows 10 in the 1st one. The instructions I saw indicated "type 21H2 into the field" after setting the policy to Enabled. But there are 2 fields. 3 if you count the comment field beside the settings.

    Hi,
I used the upgrade no internet of course and sfc /verifyonly shows no corrupt files so already better than 10 has ever done after a update lol
Checked for updates to see what would happen and all it found was the malicious software removal tool
No tpm/ secure boot/ gpt/ uefi either on 9940x which is the only item that qualifies
Still using my win-7 apps lol
    Attachment 348065
Sounds like it is better than 10 20H2 and 21H1. 20H2 and 21H1, IIRC, has an issue where SFC will complain. Also on 10, I saw an issue where it very likely will report an invalid package for a TP KB!
Yes, it complains about a pre-release Windows 10 KB! How stupid is that!

Open Shell and Classic Shell both work in W11 but you have to make certain settings t tease mouse hover to work.

I use OS on my desktop and CS on my laptop and both work the same for me. The key is to select replace the start menu button so you can access it but don't worry. If you forget to do that during the initial install you can just launch the settings app and select it later.

If you don't do that it will install but you won't be able to use it until you do. I just use their provided grey start button because I'm too lazy to make a custom button.
