The REG File referred to in the above is . . .

    Code:

    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup]
    "AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU"=dword:00000001

    I converted that into a CMD Prompt Command . . .

    Code:

    REG ADD "HKLM\SYSTEM\Setup\MoSetup" /v AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU /t REG_DWORD /d 00000001 /f

If you are missing a TPM 1.2 processor, you can bypass all TPM checks by using this script that deletes appraiser.dll during setup."

I think @colinp meant to actually post the links from GitHub where he put this script.

Anyway, here are the DIRECT links . . .

    > Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update_v1.cmd
    > Skip_TPM_Check_on_Dynamic_Update_v2.cmd

They are BOTH under the MediaCreationTool.bat => MediaCreationTool.bat

It's the appraiserres.dll file that needs to be deleted. Bree posted about this yesterday and I used it successfully as explained in

Just thinking aloud, what if MS was using reverse psychology to push W11 ? When they were excessively pushing W8 and 10, there was great resistance, "Oh no,you won't" so now they are playing hard to get placing some restrictions and everybody is clamoring "I wanna, I wanna, ,gimme, gimme"

It may be possible using gpedit to change when updates are offered. Browse to:
    Local Computer Policy
    Computer Configuration
    Administrative Templates
    Windows Components
    Windows Update
Manage updates offered from Windows update (adjust this setting)

    Maybe worth a try.

I'm not ignoring your little situation. But I can't help you. If someone comes along and reads of your situation, and knows a solution, they will reply. Patience.

Win11 was not offered through Windows Update for any of my 3 Laptops.

I used MediaCreationToolW11 to download Win11.ISO on all three.

After Disabling the startups, uninstalling my virus app, setting Malwarebytes not to run on startup, and setting my vpn app not to run on startup, I was ready.

I copied the Win11.ISO file to the desktop, mounted it and ran setup. I let it download updates and the install ran smoothly without a problem on two of the laptops.

The third laptop had a CPU that was unsupported so I made the registry change approved by Microsoft (AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU ) and went through the same procedures listed above and it installed without a hitch also.

I'm already on 21H2 latest version and it fails at around the 80% mark during a reboot which causes the GSOD message. When it comes back up this is the error banner I see.

At what stage does it fail? One of the reboots?

Is your Windows 10 on Version 21H2?
That is the current Windows 11 Version.
If not, perhaps you could prove Version 21H2 on Windows 10 first so that you know that is not the problem.

    Best of luck,
    Denis
