Getting back on topic, after both of my AMD based machines failed to upgrade to 11 I uninstalled the pc health check utility, deleted all files in the software download folder and now I'm no longer annoyed with repeated failed attempts to install 11.
    Hi,
Maybe use this to get a good iso and mount it

I tried using the 22000.194 iso on a thumb drive and it failed in the same place as WU did.

Yes, my first SSD went into and stayed in FX 6350, what a revelation !! While I still had it ha W10 but I reverted it to W7 when I gave it away
I also acquired a laptop (My computer #2) , it didn't have a disk so I installed an SSD I have been using as portable withUSB3 adapter. It has a sticker with W7 home license. Installed W10 and with my MS account it was recognized and activated right away. Now it's oldest machine with W10 here. I'm not going to bother with Phenom 965BE although I have a spare SSD and it should also work.
So people don't misunderstand this is what I did with the computer with an AMD FX 8350 CPU. The computer originally had 3 x 1TB 3.5-inch SATA hard drives. I cloned the one that was the boot drive to a 1TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. I removed the boot hard drive and replaced it with the SSD. They have the same data and power connections so it was easy to do so.

You can see 1TB Samsung 870 EVO 2.5-inch SATA SSD mounted below the two remaining hard drives.

All the ISOs directly downloadable from MS have an install.wim rather than an install.esd, and that includes the Win11 ISOs for Insiders. If you want an .esd, then that is an option when making an ISO through UUPDump. Or just wait until Oct 5th when MS will likely release the MCT for W11, the MCT always makes an ISO with a .esd.

To be honest, with all the talk and testing that most of us have done regarding Win 11, the MAIN TWO features are the NEW UI and Android Apps. In MY opinion, there is NOT any other major changes and it is pretty much Win 10 under the hood.

Some of the Features that were announced in the June MS Event are NOT included in the 05-October-2021 release, but rather latter on in a future Update / Release.

As myself, and MANY others have already stated, there is NO immediate rush to purchase a NEW PC, or indeed update your existing equipment [ Hardware ].

I am going to give it a few months for Win 11 to settle down, become more stable, and include ALL the features that were promised in June.

Besides, Win 10 is supported until the 14-Oct-2025.
