I downloaded the 22000.194 iso and used rufus to create a bootable thumb drive from which I am attempting to install 11 to my laptop. If that works then I will try on my desktop. Why didn't MS create a media creation tool for 11?

If I receive the Win 11 upgrades on my laptops and notebooks, as in the past for Win 10, I will install. If it installs great, if not, I will just use Win 10. Not an issue with me............

Because the official release is NOT until the 05-Oct-2021.

Both of my machines attempted to update via WU and both failed with the same error message. Once that happened and I rebooted WU continuously tried to reinstall it. I deleted all of the downloaded files and paused updates but in 7 days it would try it again so I'm trying the iso route. I should've just clicked on the stay on w10 link before this started.

edit: ISO failed in the same place.

I don't get it as mentioned above, release date is 10/5.... Then, wonder why they are having a problem. There probably are some more refining being done on the software. Is that why the official release date is 10/5???? Just wait for the install upgrade reaches your computer and wait 30 days after to install. Gees.
