I think I will not update Windows 11 yet. It seems like a more controlled system and requires more powerful hardware to run.
Might be not seeing too many issues at first because it's Win10 with a new theme. I will still waiting next year then see what's happend.

Sadly windows 10 is my last OS for a few more years. Microsoft say my system isn't up to spec even though it ran it great when the PC got updated to 11 with the insider programme.
when I read that after the release my system will stop updating and running win 11 I have done a fresh install of win 10

My i3-9100 will be upgraded, but not my i3-7100. Will Windows 11 be more demanding on the computers hardware, the same, or less?

About the same. The requirement for a newer processor and TPM 2.0 are more to do with enhancing security than any new demands on processing power. The 8th gen and higher Intel processors have firmware TPM capabilities, which the unsupported processors lack.

Those of us who have used workarounds to test installing it on unsupported hardware find it to be no more demanding on hardware resources than Win10. I have W11 running on one machine that has a 1st gen i5, runs just as well as W10 does on the same machine.

I have W11 on a 2014 laptop and find it more responsive than W10

Many questions remain and MS are silent. My only query is will Win11 auto update or will a fresh install be required each time.

If it's the latter then my non-supported CPU laptop will go back to 10 otherwise I'll stick with 11. It's only a spare so no big deal either way.

My main PC which does 'comply' will stay with 10 for now as there are no benefits to me to update it. But that's just a personal preference.

I think w11 might be the ßeta for w12, just like Vista was w7 ßeta and w8,x was w10 ßeta. You know the pattern when MS releases a new OS. One is bad, one is good.
