Its a question of " getting used to it ".............after some time , Im happy ( very happy !) with 11 , everything works fine and faster .........and , its getting better after every update also !
Yep, stick with it. I now have trouble going back to win 10!!
I have made some adjustments. I deleted Chrome. And Microsoft Edge is not easy to delete. So, I now use Firefox as default and ME for the rare instance where a web site don't like FX. As for having multiple choices, I don't know a lot about computers, but if you look at the source of a browser, make sure they are not the same. IE is the source of Chrome, ME and many others. Fx is the only one I know of that is totally free of IE. I may not be able to "prove" all this. But there are other sources on the Internet that agree with me. And most guru's that I know of also agree.
I'm not here to stop you from anything. We all make our own decisions. I can only say here what I have been able to determine by research.
You have your facts wrong, sorry to tell you.
Chromium (Chrome) is the source for Microsoft Edge. There is no more IE (Internet Explorer). Firefox is slower than Chrome or Edge, in fact slower than any Chromium browser I have used. I suggest refraining from using abstract acronyms like ME, FX which I don't think are common in 2023.
Anyway, Windows 12 is around the corner (next year) so if you don't need to upgrade to Windows 11, I wouldn't.
I think you are a little bit confused about this. Internet Explorer (IE) has never been the basis of any other browser. Currently Internet Explorer has been totally removed from Windows 10 and 11.
Even though Edge and Chrome may seem different they are both based upon code from Google's project Chromium.
It is a waste of time trying to remove Edge from Windows. You might think you succeeded but you risk breaking something since Edge has been integrated into some of Windows functionality.
Edge was originally developed inhouse by Microsoft from the ground up. It has nothing to do with Internet Explorer. In 2018 it was replaced by a new version built upon the code from the open-source software project Chromium
The Google Chrome browser was first built from code from Apple and Firefox. It was later rebuilt with with code from open-source software project Chromium.Edge was initially built with Microsoft's own proprietary browser engine, EdgeHTML, and their Chakra JavaScript engine. In late 2018, it was announced that Edge would be completely rebuilt as a Chromium-based browser with Blink and V8 engines.
In the 1990's Netscape was Internet Explorer's main rival. When the Netscape browser went open source in 1998 the Mozilla SeaMonkey browser was the result. Because both Netscape and SeaMonkey were considered bloated a new open-source browser called Mozilla Firefox was the result. As you can see Firefox was developed independently and has nothing to do with Internet Explorer.Chrome was first released in 2008 for Microsoft Windows, built with free software components from Apple WebKit and Mozilla Firefox. Currently most of Chrome's source code comes from Google's free and open-source software project Chromium.
