Anyone in Canada getting the WU invite to Windows 11? I have been checking since Nov. 13th when I built this new system and no actual update yet. I do have the notice that this system is able to run Windows 11.
Cheers
From what I read, Windows 11 has Microsoft Edge "built right in" and "hard to remove/uninstall" or "impossible to uninstall". If any of this is true, it just proves what I said about "MS shoving it down our throats". Each time I update Windows 10, MS Edge comes back on. Each time, I uninstall Edge. Why? I use and like both Firefox and Chrome. And Edge is just a clone of Chrome. So are many others. Firefox is alone and should be ones first choice, Simply because it is NOT a chrome clone. IMHO Mozilla does a great job offering Firefox and Thunderbird. I have no experience with their other offerings, but am satisfied with Tx and Tb. End of rant.
IMHO there is a reason to uninstall it. Edge is a clone of Chrome. What do I need with more than 2 browsers? If Edge and most of the others are all clones of Chrome, then Chrome is the only one I need. And I still prefer Firefox as my default. I understand you, but I have uninstalled IE and many others/Opera/Safari. It behooves us to be sure that anything we have installed on our PC's should be updated as required. And if I don't want to have to update Edge or IE or any other, why not just delete/uninstall them? Updating and Upgrading is a nuisance. I prefer to "not need to do those".
