I tried using the 22000.194 iso on a thumb drive and it failed in the same place as WU did.
So people don't misunderstand this is what I did with the computer with an AMD FX 8350 CPU. The computer originally had 3 x 1TB 3.5-inch SATA hard drives. I cloned the one that was the boot drive to a 1TB 2.5-inch SATA SSD. I removed the boot hard drive and replaced it with the SSD. They have the same data and power connections so it was easy to do so.
You can see 1TB Samsung 870 EVO 2.5-inch SATA SSD mounted below the two remaining hard drives.
RIght from the MS insider download page.

All the ISOs directly downloadable from MS have an install.wim rather than an install.esd, and that includes the Win11 ISOs for Insiders. If you want an .esd, then that is an option when making an ISO through UUPDump. Or just wait until Oct 5th when MS will likely release the MCT for W11, the MCT always makes an ISO with a .esd.
To be honest, with all the talk and testing that most of us have done regarding Win 11, the MAIN TWO features are theNEW UI
andAndroid Apps
. In MY opinion, there isNOT
any other major changes and it is pretty much Win 10 under the hood.
Some of theFeatures
that were announced in theJune MS Event
areNOT
included in the05-October-2021
release, but rather latter on in a futureUpdate / Release
.
As myself, and MANY others have already stated, there isNO
immediate rush to purchase a NEW PC, or indeed update your existing equipment [ Hardware ].
I am going to give it a few months for Win 11 to settle down, become more stable, and include ALL the features that were promised in June.
Besides, Win 10 is supported until the14-Oct-2025
.

" I am going to give it a few months for Windows 11 to settle down, become more stable, and include ALL the features that were promised in June. "............. I am going to give it a few YEARS (!) for Windows 11 to settle down, become more stable .....
