Can someone please advise Microsoft that my PC (i7 4770K) is not MSWindows11 compatible, and that they MUST change the project so I can use the new edition?

If you use some modelling software that is CPU and memory intensive then a faster processor and memory would be good. Video or photo editing would also benefit. Browsing and use of spreadsheets may not need more than what you have, but the performance would be a bit snappier.

Your My Computer indicates a 1TB HDD and no internal SSD. Your OS, apps, and data are all in one partition on this drive.

Here is one view. You have had this PC for 8 years and it was likely a premium PC at that time. Plan for a replacement that will last another 8 years. For safety double the amount of memory. Lots disk space is always nice and you should double this as well, and it should be an SSD. Getting An Intel i5 or equivalent may be good enough, but an i7 would be nice. With a new PC you can either donate the old one or remove the HDD and use it for backup.

The OS should not be the deciding factor. You will be able to upgrade to Win 11 if the new PC does not come with it preinstalled.
You mention I have no SDD. What does that do? Is it important? In what way? In fact, when I looked at new PC's, the main difference is that they all have SDD. Anywhere from 128 to 256. ? And that alone, makes me wonder about a new PC. Would just the addition of SDD make a big enough difference for me to want a new one? If not, then what I have is good for ? another 5 years? I always thought PC's were obsolete in 3 yrs and here I am on 8. And 5 more is 13. Am I just running on borrowed time? Yes, a new PC will have W10 and that will be good for those 5 years, and I can always get W11 at any time. Please clarify this for me.

An SSD is maybe 10x faster than your existing HDD, and would make the system is very responsive in opening & saving files, and starting apps. Replacing the HDD in your PC with an SSD would give it a significant boost in performance. A 2TB internal 2.5" SSD is not that expensive, but you have to decide if that cost is better spent towards a new PC.

Chances are the CMOS battery on your motherboard is nearing end of life, but you may not notice if the PC is powered on all the time. With good backups you could just continue using it until it fails or you have a pressing reason to replace it.

What, did MS go in "retard mode" again ??

How is it normal for Ryzen 3 and 4GB RAM as MINIMUM requirement ?

What is this, some unoptimized PC game ported from PLAYSHIT or XBONE to PC ??

Jesus Christ i remember the days when all u needed to run Windows was 1Ghz CPU and 1GB of RAM

Would be hard pressed to find any device let alone laptop or desktop PC otherwise compatible (TPM 2.0, CPU. UEFI) which comes with less than 4GB of RAM. Any reasonable PC made in last few years, maybe even 10, would start with 8GB of RAM.

Well it sure feels like that running 11 on an unsupported CPU with zero problems. No doubt I may be booted out after Oct 5 but no big deal.

Looks like MS are pushing folks to Edge browser and the Store. Also maybe a sop to hardware manufacturers although I don't expect we're all going to be rushing out with our hard earned $$'s simply to upgrade perfectly good systems running 10.

Apparently though it's all for our own good - LOL

Still the fact remains that the requirement jump is without logic when all we're getting really is just a new skin or fresh coat of paint.

4GB for the OS alone even 64-bit is still a bit resource hogging in my opinion.

And Ryzen 3 as minimum ? Another BS requirement in my opinion.

Really idiotic to fiece people to upgrade when they don't actually need to.
