    The update just downloaded on my computer. Waiting a little bit to start installing it. Has anyone been having any problems with it taking a long time to install after clicking update and restart? I haven't really seen anything on here about that. so far. But just wanted to make sure.
    The restart was quick for me on three systems.

    Patch Tuesday, Today, 2nd Tuesday of the month, is when MS delivers and install lots of Security Updates and Fixes. They do not publish what they have fixed until sometime later on in order for the majority of users to have the fixes in place. This is to help prevent the Bad Guys from seeing exactly what was fixed and whipping up a counterpunch before the (vast) majority of users are protected. Most major IT vendors do the same thing.

    Hope this helps.
    I should have said: "They do not publish the details of what they have fixed until sometime later on in order for the majority of users to have the fixes in place." I was trying to get the point across to MUser that just because the CU is not packed with details of fixes made and what was done, and how they were fixed, etc., it does not mean it did little to nothing. It did quite a bit.

    Done on two computers. No hiccup at all.

    KB5005033 Windows 10 2004 19041.1165, 20H2 19042.1165, 21H1 19043.1165-winver-after-installing-kb5005033-hp.png

    BTW, I saw a post with Build 19044.1165. Was it for 21H2? or I am hallucinating. (tongue-in cheek)

    Just finished the update. Ran SFC and Dism no errors. It took a while, but then I'm on a pre-Vista laptop so it's expected. So far no errors, only time will tell.

    Hi,

    All went well on my machines and fast too!
    @Ghot:

    I also got an optional driver something called: Advanced Micro Devices Inc. - Security Devices 5.17.0.0
    That's an update for either a AMD cpu or gpu.

    Cheers,

    Interesting. I have to go back and check my AMD machines to see if I have optional driver offer. Thanks for info, @fedgrove

    .....mine shows up with an Install now button, and doesn't install automatically on 21H1 production PCs. What's up with that?
