    for me it's because I sometimes miss or skip the patches released on a 2nd Tuesday and go with the preview updates released near the end of the month instead.

    I have not encountered any serious problems with any of the preview updates from MS, including KB5004296

    The problem with these preview updates is they don't have any security updates included. You will get them on Update Tuesday so I never do previews.
