Yeah, larc, I guess that's what the enablement package thing is all about: little changes that are already in the major update of a while back are simply enabled. I think our last significant update for 10 was more than a year ago, and I can't even remember being very impressed by anything back then. Seems the work on 10 had come to an end some time ago, when the work on 11 began in earnest.
I see it happen again that Microsoft just says, well then guys, let's update the systems that are not supported anyway. Yes right? Because look for yourself, I think that more than 90% of all systems still run on outdated junk! And then upgrade to Windows 11? How? So that they also get updates just like usual just like everyone else. Every second Tuesday of the month and in between. Is that so difficult instead of excluding everyone who supposedly doesn't have their system in order? Because dozens of sites already have instructions on how to bypass the TPM protection. Even MS came with instructions on how to do that. How double is this? So don't be childish, Microsoft!
My second pc is still on 21H1 and waiting for the W11 upgrade to be offered. I wonder if putting the 21H2 on it would increase the chances of getting W11sooner?
@f14tomcat and @kado897,
Did MS fix StartupInfo in 21H2? KB4598242 CU Windows 10 v2004 build 19041.746 and v20H2 19042.746 ?
My time's running out with 2004
Thanks.
Hi everyone, so I made my way to this post after spending the past few hours trying to update to the Windows Insider build (10) that introduced the Auto HDR feature. After becoming an insider and just updating to 21H1 (19043.1319) there are now no more updates available and I've checked quite a few times.
I've downloaded KB5003791 here: KB5006738 Windows 10 Insider RP 19043.1319 (21H1) 19044.1319 (21H2)
But I've read here in this thread that 21H2 releases tomorrow (assuming outside insider channel release)?
Considering I don't even know how to use the .msu file I downloaded and considering that although the source and site seems legit, should I just wait until tomorrow?
Thanks for any help with this.
