AHH, my post got flushed. I can see why. I was 15 minutes in advance. Thanks for the notes Shawn.

"The KB5004296 Enablement Package allows you to go from build 19043 (v21H1) to 19044 (v21H2)."

I don't really think that's how it works. Or at least it doesn't enable 19044 in any way that I could figure out.
I think the only way you can get 19044.1147 is if your were already on 19044 from being in the beta channel.
All the KB5004296 cab file would do for me is update my Public Release 19043.1110 install to 19043.1147.
"Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 21H2 (19044.1147) amd64" ISO from UUP Dump did nothing at all.
Threw some kind of error about files already being installed and needing to restart the windows setup.
It never restarted even after waiting 5 minutes or so. Not complaining about it just posting my observations.

    Currently running fine on 19043.1147

If this is in the wrong thread, I apologize for that and ask that it be moved to the right thread.

I thought I understood the "plan" for these future releases. I first thought Win 11 was coming out next Spring (22H1) but then was told it was coming out this Fall (21H2). But now, I see that the RP is 19044, not 22000, so to me, that means that it is NOT coming out until next Spring.

So, this means we will be able to buy a PC this Fall with Win11 on it, but it Win11 itself won't be released to the public (GA) until next Spring.

Is that correct -- or am I still confused?
Windows 11, 21H2, is NOT replacing Windows 10, 21H2. They are totally separate things. And Win 10 is supported until 2025, so there will be 22H1, 22H2, and on and on. And there will be Windows 11 22H1, 22H2, etc. When PC's with Win11 will be available for purchase, or when Win11 goes GA, I don't know. But it's a separate product.

Don't forget that Windows 11 is on a annual channel, so there will be only one update per year, when Windows 10 is on a semi-annual channel...

Well, that will make version numbering easier! Windows 11, version 22, 23, 24, etc.

I agree. I think that it will only work once you are the build that has modified files. It must be looking for them and can't find any. At least from past experience that's my 2 cents.

Try this -- The KB5003791 Enablement Package allows you to go from 2004, 20H1, or 21H1 to 19044 (v21H2).

I will sit this one out and wait for it to be RP Optional without the Insider part. I don't know when, but my past experience tells me it won't be long.

Any idea where I might find KB5003791? Searching in the MS Update Catalog didn't produce any results.

Never Mind: It just showed up as an optional update in WU. Moved me from 19043 to 19044.
