" https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...e-6c6f49b8d261 ".............yes, nice to know , only not a single word about Win11 !
Running Office 2019 x86 , on Win10 x64 ; works very good , so I wonder what will happen after upgrading to Win11.............

I can't say. I ran the X64 version on Windows 10, and am running it (clean install) on 11.

AFAIK, Windows 11's support for Win32 applications will not be different from 10 X64. Even though there will not be an X86 version of Windows 11.

In the "Let them eat cake!" line, why not simply use the X64 version of Office 19? My installation ISO includes both sets. (I've been a bit annoyed that the root level install launcher defaults to the X86 version.)

If 11 is still actually in development as claimed, seems it's high time for a complete new build instead of just a CU.

I don't have Office 2019, but I do have a lot of software of varying vintages, some dating back several decades (eg: Autoroute 2000). I haven't yet found anything that that can't run in Win11 just the same as it does in Win10.

I don't know if this is true, but, i've read that you download Win 11 Insider DEV Build now, and for some reason you went back to Win 10, you will not be able to get the "free" version of Windows 11 when it comes ready to setup on your PC. Correct?

If your PC meets the requirements you will get the free upgrade. It's only those Dev channel machines that have been allowed to install W11 that don't meet the minimum requirements that won't get the RTM.

    Quicken 99 still works! I've been using it since Win98 >> Win2000 >> Win7 >> Win10 (I skipped XP and 8.x).

    To that effect:

The best parts of Windows 11 are already in Windows 10. Here's how to enable them | ZDNet

I have a 4th generation processor on my production machine bought in 2015 HP i7-4770 and which doesn't stand any chance of running Win 11 because of the hardware-specifications needed (No TPM module at all). It's going to stay that way on Win 10 as I have no intention of buying another new computer after the acquisition of a high end one just last year (See The specs for Asus in my profile — second option.)

Second one should have no problem.
