In their Blog I read today they seem to be looking at the 7th gen as being acceptable. Through the Insider program they will assess Security and Performance. They can't even justify the cutoff line.

    Second paragraph.

    Thanks, Ken. Specifically:

Below you will find changes we are making based on that feedback, including ensuring we have the ability for Windows Insiders to install Windows 11 on 7th generation processors to give us more data about performance and security,

I can live with the new settings format. You live with these things for a little while and they become second nature.

Is there any way to get the Desktop Peek in the taskbar back? As it is now you have to hit an extremely narrow and unobvious vertical bar a few pixels to the left of the right edge, or right-click in the far right and choose. I am always a bit irritated when someone feels the need to mess with Fitt's Law.

Similarly, it would be nice if the Start Button could be moved left, but not all the other taskbar apps. But who knows where this is going to go...

Made it. 4:15 to the desktop. Past my bedtime. Will have to wait until tomorrow to play.

I don't think the new settings page is nearly as sleek looking as in Windows 10. That and some other areas of 11 look more like draft than finished products. Plus many adjustable functions have been removed or changed to other locations that I haven't been able to find yet.

I agree. There are some pretty rough edges. I was messing around in Personalization trying to get a custom color scheme together, and it was a mess - sometimes doing nothing on a click, sometimes greying out choices, sometimes not registering choices. This is not the only area where I feel there are regressions. The 'leaked' version was a lot more solid IMO!

So I check on my pc and see how it is doing to see a screen saying it can’t run windows 11 because it doesn’t have a TPM, how can fix/bypass this?
