Hi,
They did a little with direct storage features on 11 mostly for gaming improvements but also would be good for any movie play as well.
Hi,

For me Windows 11 is like a heavily skinned Windows 10. I do not mind that much the UI changes and I could live that, even thought I would like to have the option to turn off some of the new UI but the fact I cannot change the size of the taskbar is a deal breaker for me.
The part that bothers me the most with Win 11 is that you can't add what you want to taskbar. The desktop or /and the taskbar is like the dashboard for many of us. I add files, folders, links. Some like it with the least possible stuff on main screen and that's fine with me. At least, let users have their dashboard as they like it. Hec, I had to put a shortcut on start to desktop just to have txt files I use.
As for a kill switch I'd be surprised (but like some said, you never know with MS). Old versions let you install if basic drivers are available so, I don't know.
No problem adding to the Taskbar, just have to dig deeper to find it. The right-click of icons on the Desktop, go down to Show more options to find it.
It just takes a little registry tweak to change the Taskbar size. Make sure to have a restore point or a recent system backup before just in case.
How to change Taskbar size on Windows 11
If you're within the Start menu, pin to taskbar is right there when right clicking. No need (no option) to have to "dig further" (unlike right clicking on the desktop where you need to to click "show more options" to get more options
In other words when you "first" right click, the option is there to pin to taskbar from the start menu
If you download the latest version of WinAero - the option to reinstate the clock plus several other goodies are there to enable customisation.
Whether it's worth bothering to go the Win11 route I'm in 'dunno' land. The beta is running fine on my XPS laptop even though the 7 series CPU doesn't qualify for now. All depends on how the final version turns out and what extras (if any) as to I require. At the moment from what I've seen I'll probably stay with Win10 on my main rig as 11 just looks like a different UI - change for the sake of it.
Just my take on things.
To this point, I find it a bit underwhelming ........but I'll go with it for now as a secondary OS.
