MY Laptop does not meet the requirements ( Toshiba Qosmio F750 ) The laptop functions perfectly OK. So it looks like i will be dusting my old Linux skills up again. I will not fork out $1000 or more for a new laptop just to use Windows 11.
my take on this is that Windows 11 will be able to run on any type of computer on the launch date irrespective of what Microsoft says as the workarounds will be many at that time. for me personally, I have a very high-end old computer which has been excellent over many years and won't need replacing just for a windows 11 cosmetic update. this I can assure you will be the voice of the majority of people as we cant keep upgrading good hardware just because Microsoft or any other company dictates we need to and certainly not just for cosmetic reasons
Hi,
Yeah win-11 well my feeling is or has been through win-10 new builds are same as old builds so why not install them as released finally got all builds on 21h1
Win-11 making us jump through hoops for feature most can't use anyway seeing most rtx gpu's are vaporware lol so there goes direct storage right
Not sure I know anyone that uses bitlocker either I know I don't and never want too so there goes all the security perks
Uefi and or secure boot two other unneeded perks only ms want the ability to make as many partitions as it wants or needs too not I so there gpt I don't mind mbr limitations
So far nothing that's been stated as a requirement is all that interesting except the vaporware that is hit and miss at retailers because of miners and scalpers are still soaking up supply trying to make a quick buck off suckers and last I saw they were also soaking up all the tpm chips too lol
Mine does not meet the requirements, I am using an Athlon 3000G and it seems that TPM 2 is not available. However, Microsoft say they are testing lower spec AMD processors to see if they can be included.

I have looked at the W11 sites linked to my emails. My motherboard can take a TPM module, but it seems there are several differences and at least 3 pin configurations. I would require a 17 pin (18-1) Asrock TPM-S V2.0. Of course, these aer probably stuck in a container on the Evergiven.

Ooops.... Out of stock.
Some further searching on the web seems to confirm your fear of it being stuck on the Evergiven.
Cheers,
