I'm assuming that I have TPM 2.0 and will be able to upgrade to Windows 11 when it's released.

The list of supported processors seems arbitrary to me. I think Microsoft is trying to get people to buy new computers.
Yeah they definitely are. .. Put I'll upgrade parts or build a brand new computer of my own instead of buying one.

Guess there'll be a lot of cheap 2nd-hand PCs around in a year's time... whilst MS's claim to be more power efficient is going to be vastly outweighed by the replacement frenzy as people seek the pale blue zen-like experience portrayed by MS.

    Definitely blue, not green.

Looks like my Ryzen rig is failing on being a first generation CPU which are not supported although it does have TPM.

Not very environmentally friendly to potentially send all the non complient PCs to the scrap heap.

Finally some answers, from 3rd party as always.
Though it is not 100%, secure boot is up and running.

The Put Linux Mint on it, you will never look back if you do this.
Pretty well. I haven't used windows since I went to ubuntu in 2008 but wanted a "new" computer, so bought a refurb from newegg. I wanted to see if windows had gotten any better since using my wife's vista Toshiba laptop and I can say it has.

I'm not too broken up about not being able to use 11, as 10 does all I need (my usage needs are pretty low - no gaming for me). However, if ms goes the google route in dropping support after 4 or 5 years and extorting money for a whole new computer, then back to linux I go.

I find it rather humourous (and hypocritical), that up-tempo, progressive companies like ms and google, are happy to have you throw out perfectly usable hardware. There goes the landfill sites.

I wonder how the "environment warriors" will take it. Probably lining up to get a new computer so they can run 11, I suppose...
