    Hey, everyone!

In the beginning of this thread, there was a statement concerning Windows 11: "Windows 11 cuts through complexity and brings you simplicity."

After looking through 30 pages of this thread, I'm not seeing anything simple about any of this. Nothing simple about having to buy new devices to install in your computer, or having to buy a new computer because the new OS won't run on the same computer you've been able to run the previous OS on. I can understand if a computer is outdated after several OSs come and go, but not from going from to Win 11 from Win 10.

When MS makes a statement like this, they mean "when you buy a nice new computer with Windows 11 preinstalled, it will be easy-peasy, simple-pimple". They are not talking about early pre-releases, getting them installed on dodgy hardware that doesn't meet the stated requirements, subverting their upgrade system with UUPDump, various Insider travails, and whatnot. But if you want to be a pioneer/early adopter, you put up with certain stuff - it just comes with the territory. Adam Osborne (remember him?) used to say "you can always tell the pioneers - they're the ones with the arrows in their backs".

    What are your reasons?

I'm using it as my main Windows. Now on 22000.100 after two updates and all my quite old applications work fine. No crashes.

Is there any hint of any under the hood changes? e.g. a new file system to replace NTFS perhaps?

    Round the bend

I have only just realized (after reading https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/0...are-not-happy/) that corners are now rounded. I thought that they were patented by Apple!

Neither that nor any really worthwhile changes otherwise that I'm seeing. 11 is basically 10 with more stringent hardware requirements and lipstick.
