    Hello @tinmar49,

Can anyone direct me to a working tool which checks my pc for compatibility with W11?

As the MS Tool has been a bit Hit & Miss, you could try this. It tells you what the incompatability actually is, if ANY . . .

This was recommended by Paul Thurrott and Mary Jo Foley on Windows Weekly.

    I hope this helps.

@bibkn I currently have my refresh at 60Hz. I'm not sure on refresh rates, would 30Hz give a flicker or not to my monitor ?
Have you looked at the available settings?

    Try going to "settings"

    "display"

    "advanced display settings"

"display adaptor properties for display 1"

    "list all modes"

It may give you a choice. If it turns out not to be better, you can revert to the original settings.
If the tv/monitor has a 1080P native resolution, then you cannot improve it. If it has higher, then maybe the HDMI cable is an old one which needs upgrading.

Its a brand new cable, bought it about a month ago.

My worry is will it cause screen flicker ? I had an Amiga computer that I tried Interlace on... gave me a headache. So I changed it back.

Okay, it didn't flicker, but it also stayed at 1920 x 1080 screen size.

    All modes shows a max of 1920 x 1080 (32-bit).

    Ah, Bit depth is 8-bit.

Is it possible for me to change that ?

I've never run a flat panel monitor at 30Hz. I don't know whether the flicker would be acceptable. I found 60 Hz to be intolerable on CRT monitors, but that was back in the 90s. NTSC video was interlaced, 30 frames per second, 60 fields per second.

8 bit is really 8 bits per RGB color, also known as 24 bit. If an "alpha" channel" is thrown in, 32 bit.

10 bits per color is needed for HDR (high dynamic range). It's also known as 30 bit, or 1 billion colors. Your GT 710 doesn't support that.

Not sure why you can't get 4k/30Hz on the TV. Maybe if it was the only monitor...

Have you got a manual for your Hisense 40 inch tv? Maybe it ony manages 1080P resolution. My old Sony 40 inch only managed 720P pixel resolution.

    Darn, that's embarrassing. I'd looked up the HiSense 40H4030F1. I thought that I'd seen 4k, but it's "full HD" (1080p, aka 1920 X 1080) TV. I guess I'm too suggestible.

"JimJoe" needs to give up on getting 3840 X 2160 out of it.

Years ago, I owned a 32" Sharp flat panel that natively was 720p. It could also display 1080i (interlaced), although that was a bad idea. I suppose that it might be possible for some 1080p TVs to display a 2160p signal by downsampling it, but that would be lousy for use as a PC monitor.

The manual doesn't say much. From info on their website, 1920 x 1080 seems to be maximum.

I am still not able to get an executable to install Windows 11. Can anyone provide me with a link to the DEV Channel installation executable? I said before I will give up trying. If no one can give me the executable I will indeed stop trying and stop bothering you guys. Even Microsoft couldn't help me???

These are the Win 11 files I get when I download Win 11 from that UUP dump link. None of them are executables to allow me to install Windows 11. I must STILL be doing something wrong.
