    This is annoying...

You know how you need to click twice in an Office app, one to bring mouse focus, two to invoke an action?

Well, in W11 leak, that annoyance has been given to the Desktop, as well as other areas!

    jbcarreon123,

Since Microsoft SNAFU'd Windows 10, I am using my Windows 7 computer to run the Windows Vista mail client (WinMail.exe). From what I see, Windows 11 is just a FUBAR edition of Windows 10. I am 70 now, so I may expire before Windows 10 does.

Your premature expiry before Windows 10 dies is statistically unlikely if currently in good health

The old Snipping Tool works okay on W11.

I thought they said that they were just re-using the Snipping tool name for what is currently called Snip & sketch.

    but
Josey - you're saying that the Win11 Snip & sketch UI is that of today's Snipping tool anyway, and
JGToy - you're saying that today's Snipping tool can run within Win11.

    All very encouraging.

    All the best,

It is hard to believe MS made such a mess of introducing the world to W11. How is it that they got it so wrong? You just have to look at forums like this one to see all the confusing information.

In my case I enabled TPM (only 1.2 on optiplex 9020 and can't be updated), added secure boot and found I had lost the BCD so no boot. Redid the boot record using Macrium and still no boot drive seen. In the end had to restore an image to get going again.

I have been an insider since 2014 and would like to continue on with W11 but I am not sure whether this is wise now. I am OK with getting another comp with TPM 2.0 but not OK with also having to go to a Gen 8 CPU, especially as there is no apparent reason why W11 won't run fine on my old I5-4570.

I am not an MS denigrator at heart but I am disappointed by this mess.

Yes, it's working normal as it was before they move it to Settings on W10 and stopped it completely in favor of Snip & Sketch.
