I did update Firefox to the latest last week, but disliked the 'Chromized' UI so much, I wound back to V 88.0.1 on two machines.
Since then I notice that loading 'Google News' takes forever, with Firefox complaing that 'This page is slowing Firefox, do you want to stop it' etc.

I deduced that it was more likely to be as a result of something that Google had done, than Firefox?
You can turn off the new 'Proton' UI easily enough. Go to about:config and search for 'proton', and you'll find 'browser-something or other-proton' and disable it. I'd give you the exact key, but I'm running FF ESR.

    Hi,

There's nothing wrong with Windows Update because I got a notification for a driver's update this morning, and I installed it with WU !???

So, there's no doubt that there's something wrong with my computer and KB5003690 !

Can't wait to see what's going to happen with the next Patch Tuesday !

    I'll Keep you posted !

There is a Security Issue with Dell Firmwares' ( Bios's).... I was reading about yesterday , not sure how much of a risk it is but my guess is Dell is trying to mitigate it asap... best you do some googling.....

    Hi @Kbird,

I've heard about that security issue with Dell, I don't worry much 'bout it !
I flashed the BIOS to the latest version a few weeks ago.

And it concerns the software Support Assist, which I never have reinstalled after I had done a clean install.

BIOSConnect code execution bugs impact millions of Dell devices

RE: Dell SupportAssist bugs put over 30 million PCs at risk

    Thanks !

On one of 4 Win10 PCs this update refuses to install. I've done all the usual attempts to fix or work around (SFC /scannow/DISM, Windows Update Trouble shooter, reset update components, try from safe boot, download update directly...). All other updates will install with no issues. The Windows update logs appear to be useless to indicate what caused the failure.

Do I have to do an in place reinstall of Windows on every PC I have?
