Ah !That's another problem. If you taskbar is at the top or on the side of your window "New and Interests" will never work or show. It definitely has to be at the bottom. Try to relocate your taskbar, reboot and see if "News and interests" will show. I am almost pretty sure it will.

Now That works, however it was not in any of the instructions. BTW, Did I mention I hate the task bar on the bottom? It gets in the way of other things. PS: Thanks!

*off topic**After literally months of complaining about a broken something somewhere, guess what showed up when I followed your advice? OK, this is great, a mystery solved. Since I've grown adapted to a top-seated taskbar, I don't even have to disable News & Interests either. Just restoring it back to the top is enough to banish it.

I'm kind of nit picking here but since this update my search box in the lower left corner, instead of being totally dark, is now mostly white with "type to search" in dark. So you've got this white box with a dark strip running through it. But you put you're cursor down there and it turns all dark again. Few minutes later the white/dark box reappears. Very strange.

Not a gamer but i said what the heck and went with it .
hopefully its all good
