Read this whole thread and didn't see it mentioned. Figured it would be here if anywhere.
    Uninstalling KB5003637 fixed it.
    Piss poor update.

Installed Optional CU KB5004476 in < 1hr (2 restarts), DISM+SFC OK. I am now on build:
    KB5003637 Windows 10 2004 19041.1052, 20H2 19042.1052, 21H1 19043.1052-winver-12-june-2021.png
Happy to notice that CU KB5003637 (June 8) increased my Realtek speaker volume (ALC255 sound card) with 20%!

KB 5003637 causing constant explorer restarts on 2 systems and a 3rd failed to boot with a stop error so ran Macrium and loaded the last back up to get the wife running again. I have removed update from 2 of my systems the 3rd seems unaffected. I will wait for further fixes. Have updates paused.

I just downloaded and installed my 21H1 feature update and 21H1 optional updates through the update manager and everything downloaded and installed without a glitch and everything is working great.

Hi Indiana! Are you still doin' carnie?
Just curious, could you describe the restarts? Please see the embolden part of your quote.

In my experience if explorer.exe restarts, its as if the machine goes through a reboot and you land back on the dsktp when it's finished, is this what happens?
Once it starts does it repeat until you escape? Saying 'constant' solves that.

I have 2win10 lptps and one originally win7 dsktp and all three are running 21H21; Apologies , as my system(s) specs for the 2 lptp's are woefully out of date:
    Code:
Edition: Windows 10 Home Version 21H1
Installed on ‎9/‎10/‎2020 OS build 19043.1052
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0
    And, so far I'm good.... KB5003637 Windows 10 2004 19041.1052, 20H2 19042.1052, 21H1 19043.1052-15_10_2.gif

No you got me mixed up with Indianacarnie. Explorer itself restarts. All the icons on the taskbar tray vanish and if you are copying pasting or editing it is lost. Then it sorts it self out for 1 min or maybe 10.
