get the path of the esp partition
(I am in win7 so I put a copy of win10 bcdboot.exe on the desktop to run the command from within win7)
In this example:
N: is the partition the image was applied to. The path of the esp partition is \Device\HarddiskVolume11
bcdboot N:\windows /s \Device\HarddiskVolume11 /f UEFI
job done.

My only need for Windows 11 is to enable secure-boot in my BIOS and add a TPM module.. for my ASUS motherboard...
Windows 11 won't work without a TPM - What you need to knowFor Intel Process, this technology is called Intel Platform Trust Technology (Intel PTT), and for AMD, it is called AMD Platform Security Processor.
"Almost every CPU in the last 5-7 years has a TPM. For Intel its called the "Intel PTT" which you set to enabled. For AMD it would be "AMD PSP fTPM". TPMs have been required for OEM certification since at least 2015 and was announced in 2013," said David Weston, Director of Enterprise and OS Security at Microsoft.
damn.. the ASUS TPM SPI module I need is all sold out on Amazon.... meh!
Strike that, they are out of stock everywhere I checked...
BUT they are available on eBay for $199 each..
DAMN scalpers!!
Has anyone tried reinstalling Windows 10 to the same drive after installing Windows 11? Just curious because I remember difficulty reinstalling W7 after installing W10 - on some machines anyway.
