Answer to first part...... you would then have a dual boot system. It's not that scary. I have a multi-boot system, counting a new Win 11, I boot 8 separate OSs, including the Macrium RE.

Shawn has a Tut for it, just think 10 and 11, not 10 and 7.

Dual Boot Windows 10 with Windows 7 or Windows 8
    TC and @SIW2 @Jen1,

    Thanks for the information.

get the path of the esp partition

Watch what is next for Windows event on June 24, 2021-dg-getpath2.jpg

(I am in win7 so I put a copy of win10 bcdboot.exe on the desktop to run the command from within win7)

    In this example:

N: is the partition the image was applied to. The path of the esp partition is \Device\HarddiskVolume11

    bcdboot N:\windows /s \Device\HarddiskVolume11 /f UEFI

My only need for Windows 11 is to enable secure-boot in my BIOS and add a TPM module.. for my ASUS motherboard...

For Intel Process, this technology is called Intel Platform Trust Technology (Intel PTT), and for AMD, it is called AMD Platform Security Processor.

"Almost every CPU in the last 5-7 years has a TPM. For Intel its called the "Intel PTT" which you set to enabled. For AMD it would be "AMD PSP fTPM". TPMs have been required for OEM certification since at least 2015 and was announced in 2013," said David Weston, Director of Enterprise and OS Security at Microsoft.

Best of luck finding a TPM module. I have a shortlist of X570 Gigabyte and Asus boards to build a new PC but the TPM modules are not in stock in the UK. Fortunately these boards have firmware TPM support which can be set in the BIOS (fTPM).

Has anyone tried reinstalling Windows 10 to the same drive after installing Windows 11? Just curious because I remember difficulty reinstalling W7 after installing W10 - on some machines anyway.
