For existing Win 10 users there will be a staged roll out of Win 11 starting at the beginning of 2022.
Based on past MS behavior or some leaked memo?

I just noticed that in the list of supported processors, nothing older than an 8th-generation Intel Core processor is listed.

Watched the event, not live, and not completely, but enough to confirm that Microsoft was correct. Windows 10 is the very last version of Windows . . . that I will ever install.Talk about bloat. Just give me an Operating System that works, and works well. I'll worry about the rest.
    It's actually smaller than W10.

As mentioned by Paul Thurrott and Mary Jo Foley on TWitTV's Weekly News directly after the Live Event.

Which, I believe, was also mentioned in the broadcast.

So far. Just wait until it's ready for public release.

I was one of those that got caught up in the "technical difficulties" of the live event. I got bits and pieces thru main link, YT, Twitter, whatever was working at the time. Unfortunately, most of what I saw and remember was the useless game this, game that, Xbox, etc. It was real broken up for me. So............ did not catch that part. Thanks.

Their tool says my system is not compatible with windows 11 and its a monster...LOL Sunday my ryzen 9 5950x arrives to replace my 3900x. I wonder if my XFX MERC 319 Speedster RX 6900 XT Black is too weak? MS needs to work on their compatibility tool.

I used the feedback hub to let them know about this.

That "Compatibility tool" is looking only for TPM 2.2 and general minimum requirements and of course can't find anything disabed in BIOS.
