That could be the biggest deal in the next Windows version. Well, that and Windows Package Manager, which the average user will likely never even see before Microsoft comes up with a GUI for it.
I don't know larc, if that's the biggest deal. I have heard there may be some NEW EMOJIS!!! OMG!!! I am so excited!!!

They gave it away, I didn't think anybody paid for it.
Is there gonna be an Eleven Forums? It would be fun to start discussing our thoughts and speculations on the next Windows OS drop...

I'm sort of torn, I started WindowsQ as an all-encompassing site so I didn't need to set a new one up every time MSFT brought out a new OS, however, when I did that I didn't expect them to bring one out so quickly and the site hasn't gained enough traction so far, so a fresh stand-alone site may be the way forward.

Elevenforums.com is not available (I've tried) but I do have other domain options for a stand-alone site if it is Windows 11 the next offering from Microsoft, tbh though atm I think the whole Windows 11 thing is a misdirect and they are going to call it something else.

MS knew that there would be speculation as soon as a potential new OS was leaked. If no thought has been put into the new name, then we could possibly expect it to be called Windows 11, so basically following the next version structure that has been used over the last few OSs [ Except Windows 9 of course ]. They could of course go for a different approach, and name it Sun Valley, Sun Valley 21 or such like.

    Just my thoughts.

I can see replacing Windows 10 in Name could cause MS some issues, as the famously sold windows ten with the tagline about Windows 10 being the last Windows you will own and other statements that the software would be continuously developed.

With the litigious world we live in I can see some major windows users going after MS in the courts, It's possibly an easy money maker

All this Windows 11 stuff has been originated by Internet bloggers and other sites, Yes, change may be coming, a major look and feel change, even changes under the hood, All of this could be performed within the original remit of Windows 10 at Launch.

If there is any name change to the next update to windows, I could see this being the simple removal of the number 10 - Most people when asked " what OS are you using? " would answer "Windows" why not make this the actual name of the software

Windows as a service is promoted for years, so it is inevitable. You can not even create a local account, unless you literally pull out the cable. Most people are afraid of yearly fees when talking about the subscription service, but MS is aware that not everyone can or is willing to pay for it, otherwise they would not be giving away 10 for free. I imagine Windows with ADs, Windows locked to the store did not get much love.
