Microsoft said 10 would be the last version of Windows. In keeping their promise, I could understand dropping 10 and just calling it Windows, but not going to Windows 11. Whatever, I'll hold my angst in check for now and wait to see what the 24th presents.
This may be the reason the dev channel has been so quitet.
All clues point to Microsoft preparing to announce Windows 11
I expect it to be just Windows, but with mandatory MS account, basically Windows Cloud like Google OS.
It would be epic to promote it like from Windows 1.0 to Windows 10 ending with Windows 01 (one drive).
Technically there is already only one Windows 10 version supported, since 20H1 = 20H2 = 21H1.
The well known leaker Evan Blass mentioned the “Windows 11” name for a “forthcoming Microsoft OS” on Twitter. The current internal builds use a watermark with the text "Do not take screenshots of this build".
