    As long as it does work as before and nothing gets broken (plus all necessary AddOns still remain compatible) then I think I'll be fine.

    Still, I cannot say that I'm a big fan of the GUI / UX as witnessed in recent releases... And prefer my address bar to be more prominent...

    I'd like to cast one vote for... YUCCKK !!
    But then again, I've voted that way since about Firefox 45 or so.

    Hate that all the text in menus now takes up more vertical space. Menus that did not scroll now do.

    Any way to change row height of menus without changing the font size?

    In about:config...
    Set browser.proton.contextmenus.enabled ..false (bookmarks spacing)

    Fixed it! Back to the old row height! Thanks!

    I'm going to uninstall the Mozilla Maintenance Service. So tired of having 'new nonsense'. My bad for having installed it in the first place.

    Edit: Now set to 'disabled' for the moment.

    That doesn't help. I've been doing that since it first appeared.

    Whut? Oh no...

    But surely Firefox will stop its 'update' popups?

    I have unchecked "Install maintenance service" forever. It may stop the popups (I don't see those), but it doesn't stop the automatic updates themselves.

    Easiest way I've found to stop the auto updates is to use this.
    Just unzip and drop this "distribution" folder into...
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox

    distribution.7z

    This is what is IN the "distribution" folder...

    ...and this is what's in the policies.json file:

    Code:
    {
    	"policies": {
    		"AppUpdateURL": "http://127.0.0.1/",
    		"DisableAppUpdate": true,
    		"DisableFirefoxStudies": true,
    		"DisableSystemAddonUpdate": true,
    		"DisableTelemetry": true,
    		"ExtensionUpdate": false
    	}
    }

    This is how you know it worked...
    ...it will have this "disabled by your system administrator" message, in Help > About

    And then every time you manually update, it erases this folder. So save a copy on a storage drive somewhere.

    You can always find the Firefox manual installer, here...

    I like the "fresh new Firefox redesign". All my settings etc. stayed the same, time will tell how things under the hood will work.
