The latest about WPM, a new Windows app is shown in Revo_Pro, it is called WinGet Source. According to Revo or Ccleaner, it was installed today.

I really like that new way of upgrading apps. Same for playing with a terminal. Lets hope one day, will get security patches the same way.

Mr. Demitrius Nelon deserve a bonus.

It also runs fine with Command Prompt (cmd.exe). I always run that in administrator mode, so don't know if it works in standard mode.

    Norton LifeLock Full Update

What a nice feature for double checking an app.

Norton was updated to a new build number this morning. In such case, the app resets the desktop and removes all taskbar icons for a few second. Winget is same as in About Norton.

    Code:
    winget list norton
    Name Id Version
    ------------------------------

10.0.21390.1000 Feedback WinGet is not on board

Build 21390.1 supports WPM, but it's not on board after a clean install. When upgrading to .1000 there is still no trace of WPM.

There are two ways to enable WinGet. 1) From the store, update app installer. 2) From it's git web site, you must execute the following file (MS desktop bundle):

    Code:
    Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller_8wekyb3d8bbwe.appxbundle
    Releases . microsoft/winget-cli . GitHub

In both cases, we must restart to apply changes: updates are underway...

Prior this build, it must be installed from the same website.

    Got this old one today:

    Code:
     winget list winamp
    Name Id Version Available Source
    ------------------------------------------------
    Winamp Radionomy.Winamp 5.8 5.8 winget
Since day one, MS has introduced new features, this one is among our favorite.

    Thanks to their team,

I don't understand this. App Installer is already on my PC according to MS Store but there is no obvious app link for it. The command winget is not recognised. I'm mystified how to use it.

Do you have build 21390.x? The winget cmd line is not recognized here too after the fresh install offline.

I did not try the store (not using it), but clicking the bundle file (download or double-click) enables Winget in Powershell.

It works immediately, if we don't restart we get abnormal characters. We have to restart to see updates are underway, please don't turn off your computer.

If you aren't using build 21390.1, you must install it I guess. Have you tried double clicking the bundle package at Github? Is there an option to reinstall app installer (MS store)?
