I can't fit 500GB system image anywhere at the moment, or I would have a backup already.
500GB?! I assume it is your VM’s and maybe games?

Mostly data and apps...uninstalled games a long time ago. One VM which is tiny atm.

EDIT: Also have a lot of SDKs. All files on my system in total is counted in the millions...not even sure how many

At least make a system restore point before upgrading!

Ok, so, I've upgraded 2 VMs on 2 different machines to this latest build. No issues so far...Seems to be quite stable tbh

@slicendice. Don't know if this is useful but did an in-place upgrade from Win 10 dev to win 11 dev (home version) on an AMD laptop and everything works as it did on Win 10. Drivers, printer, WU etc.

Yeah, it has been pretty stable for the last few builds. I assume windows 11 will be a little buggy.

Sure, that's also useful information. Kinda related to my questions too...as the plan is to run Win11 flights in a VM for a while. And nested virtualization will be imperative for me because of certain new features. I don't wanna install 11 as main system yet because I don't know if I'll love it or hate it.

Also might be worth waiting for a 'proper' .iso download from UUP Dump later on as it's said that the Dev channel is getting a Win 11 insider build this week. Yeah, not gonna suck down the leaked image. I only grab stuff straight from MS.

Thanks Kari, as you suspected, I already know how to setup nested virtualization. It's just that on the latest RP builds this isn't yet implemented for AMD hardware.

So I need to switch over to dev builds now. Are the builds stable enough to use for not so serious "work"? Nothing mission critical going on, on my systems, just don't wanna be reinstalling everything in case it's unstable.
Dev channel will be getting Win 11 this week. Don't know how stable that will be.
