These updates don't contain anything new. They are just to test the servicing pipeline.
But i think you said in one of the posts on the 1st page that it took around 1 hour for you.

That's good if your on SSD but for someone like me who is on HDD.. oh crap...

Yep, that was the initial upgrade to 21390.1 , this latest is just a CU and takes 5 mins if that.

I'm still jumping through hoops to get WU to behave on my old (2012) Lenovo X220 Tablet. Works just fine on the newer (2018) Lenovo X380 Yoga laptop. I'm thinking it's just about time to retire the older machine: it's got issues with the Intel Management Engine, and I often can download and install Defender updates without doing so manually or working through WUMT. This helps me answer the question: when do you know it's time to retire an older test machine? Answer: when it's more time consuming to get it update-ready, than to perform the update itself. Does that make sense?
    Cheers!

    Ah ok.

Was mostly asking cuz for me the regular feature updates like 2004 take like 3 hours on HDD.

So i shouldn't manually check for these CUs ? Should i just let WU snatch'em when it finds them ?

These are Insider builds in the Development Channel so unless you are set up to get them they won't appear for you. The Dev Channel is currently testing features that may or may not appear in regular builds. None of them will appear before 21H2 is released in the Autumn anyway.

Yeah. KB5003214 is not for an insider build, it's a preview of what is going to be released later today to the masses.

Wait, according to that it should already have been released where i live like 1 hour ago.

Well WU already checked like 1 hour, hoping it won't check for another 22 hours so i can finish up on Mass Effect Legendary Edition.

I'll just get the CU tommorow.
