Roll on Win 11, Win 10 is poop and alI my album/tv show folders now look all the same.
Be great if it had some vision more like Vista than Win 8/8.1/10 but not so buggy at launch.

Well, looks like I'm going to be stuck on 21387 until the next full build drops. I was hoping this update would install, but it gets stuck at 98% just like the base 21390 build.
Odd. When I cleaned up after this CU install, neither the Windows\servicing\LCU folder nor the update folder in it would delete as it usually does. Had to boot with Windows install media and use command prompt to get rid of it.
The pipeline, they won't say, contains in secret Windows 11. Be patient, its next door.
The services setup seems intact, but one is labeled <Failed to Read Description. Error Code: 15100 > .

My new friend Winget was not sleeping over:Code:"Version $($Version.ReleaseId) (OS Build $($Version.CurrentBuildNumber).$($Version.UBR))" Version 2009 (OS Build 21390.1000)

We probably won't get a new build until we see where M$ goes with "Windows 11". I put my laptop which is back from the manufacturer after repairs under warranty to the Beta channel. Getting the same reported error from UUPDUMP. Two VMs are installing the CU - QEMU/KVM is reporting an error but libvirt was just updated along with a new kernel. Basically, the Insider program (except maybe a few select customers who don't post here) is snoozing.
I think that was when they introduced version 1 and 2 type VM's.
I don't somehow feel that HYPER-V is particularly high on Ms's radar currently as far as Consumer versions of W10 are concerned.
What would be nice in a future release is for Ms to start removing a load of the diagnostic and metric taking bits in W10 and make it perform nice and slick like W2K19 Server does.
I haven't taken any measurements but it's pretty obvious when running almost any version of W10 on a VM compared with W2K19 server on identical set up and with same VM configuration and hardware W2K19 server leaves W10 right at the starting blocks .
That's not to say W10 is a hideous performer - and shouldn't be compared with slimmed down Linux distros but comparing it against one of its own stable mates (W219K server) gives a more realistic view.
Most people won't be able to mess around with W2k19 server and fiddle around with it to perform as a workstation OS - although a trial version is available -- but you can use W2K22 preview as that is on public trial until october -- that is also a good performer although there's one defect in it that I think is still a major one -- OPENSSH SERVER doesn't install -- a server that doesn't have OPENSSH SERVER working is a bit limited in "Sharing / sending files" to remote computers especially if you use sensible protocols like sftp etc.
Windows Server 2022 Preview build 20292 is available for download
Note current build is 20344. Download the optional features as well.
Cheers

So will KB5003214 be included in KB5004071 ?
I didn't manually check for updates, but WU just checked by itself and i don't think i have any of these 2 installed.
