I don't think dorcom is interested. He just wants MS to go away. By verbal command.
Call me again when the day comes -- and it will come soon-- for when you boot up you have to login to Microsoft because you have to pay to operate Windows 10, otherwise no go.
All downloads will be only possible through the Microsoft store for which you will have to pay.
    Etc., etc.

Don't believe me? Look carefully at the subtle changes with each update and in which direction they are steering the user.

Call me again, when you realize that all the software you have to lease, pay monthly including the operating system etc. amount to around a thousand dollars per month in leasing fees, a little here and a little there, pretty soon it all adds up!

    There are options.
I'm fully aware of the options regarding updates, deferring etc. and my system is accordingly configured so I have "control" over it or at least the illusion thereof. But with every update something subtly changes.

It's supposed to change, that's what updates are for. As long as they are for the better, let 'em come.
Under "options" I also meant, Apple, IOS and any of thousand Linux distros.
