I don't think there's anything much that's new for 21H1, but at least by installing it you'll have extended the end of support date by another six months

Nah... had not my trusty and well-aged previous PC with Windows XP on-board peacefully died one afternoon back in early 2017, I would probably still have used it until now...

On my "system one", on May 25, 2021, with my Samsung 970 Pro 512 GB NVMe SSD wiped, I did a clean install of 21H1.

Can't also say I can see any difference...?

Start-up tab in Task Manager remains broken (but we knew it's going to be the case) - so what's the point...?

Microsoft said on their blog that 21H1 is a focused release based on the current and specific features and ways that people use Windows,

Today marks the beginning of Windows 10, version 21H1 availability. As I noted when we first announced the May 2021 Update in February, we grounded this update on the needs expressed by you, our customers, over the past year of continued remote work, learning and play. The May 2021 Update is purposely scoped to deliver important features that improve security, remote access and quality—and engineered to provide a fast update experience.
So you don't see any benefit from the 21H1 update, but I do. It was beneficial for me.
Thanks to the 21H1 update, windows takes 2m50 seconds to reach the login screen instead of 7m30. Also it's much faster, and crashes and freezes much less. The score from 1-10 or the line of the graph on the Reliability Monitor increased.

Installed today. Did a system restore backup just in case and unplugged two USB drives. Download was less than a minute and update was complete and rebooted in about two minutes.
    All good so far

How to get the Windows 10 May 2021 Update version 21H1

Hello everyone. I have a question about windows 10. can anyone help?
I have been logging on to my PC for years using just the PIN, but I have a program that requires my Windows password, and I can't recall it. I can't share folders without it, and I can't manage my credentials without it.
Can I change or reset the password after logging on with my PIN - AND not mess up access to my my credentials?
About passwords- I have a Microsoft Live account, and a half dozen logins on Roboform. I have a Microsoft Tech Net login, a OneDrive login and even a Developers login. All different. And none work on my desktop PC for the Windows Login.
