One PC is on 19043.964 and I'm repeatedly getting 0x800705aa error when installing the update. Already stopped/restarted Windows Update service, deleted contents of C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download folder and nothing. Is there a ISO for 19043.985?

There shouldn't be an ISO for .985, yet.
How much free space on your C:\ drive?

Might be a good idea to open a command prompt as admin and run these commands, one at a time...

    sfc /scannow

    and..

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    /edit

You probably already know this, but you can download the manual installer for this update, in the first post of this topic.

Around 18GB free space. It appears Windows has corrupted itself for no apparent reason, when I run sfc /scannow, it says Windows Features Protection has found corrupted files couldn't fix some of them. Checking the CBS.log, this seems to be the diagnostics:
    Code:
Failed to load the COMPONENTS hive from 'C:\WINDOWS\System32\config\COMPONENTS' into registry key 'HKLM\COMPONENTS'. [HRESULT = 0x800705aa - ERROR_NO_SYSTEM_RESOURCES]
And the second command gives me error 1450, saying:

Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service

And I also get this error when attempting to do an in-place upgrade using an image:

    KB5003173 Windows 10 Insider Beta 19043.985 21H1 and RP 19042.985 20H2-2448704d-c840-49d5-ba34-641aac167078.png

Is there any solution to this other than a clean install? I really wouldn't like to do that due to huge amount of installed applications and respective configurations.

Windows gets weird and claims it can't do things when the free space drops below 15%.

    320 GB x .15 = 48 GB

So if you can free up 30-40GB you should be OK. Otherwise, get a bigger hard drive. (an SSD would be even better).

IF you do decide to get a larger drive... you can also get an external hard drive, and make a backup of your 320GB drive on it, then restore the backup to a new and larger internal drive.

Macrium Reflect backup software, installed, is less than .5 GB

Don't take me wrong and forgive my honesty, but recommending me to buy another SSD when the cause is another is not a very helpful reply. Several times I have been able to update Windows with far less space available, I just did it today in another machinep that only had around 10GB available. It has nothing to do with free space, some corrupted files are causing this issue that I can't determine which.

Guess that I have no other choice than refreshing Windows or doing a clean install, it was fine just a few days ago, I don't get how the OS can corrupt itself for no reason.

Error 0x800705aa is a.. lack of system resources error.

Many times we recommend an In-Place Upgrade, which "might" work with 18GB of free space.
This repairs Windows and leave all you programs and files... intact.

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

Here is the short version of the In-place upgrade tutorial...

    DISABLE non-Microsoft:
    a) antivirus software
    b) firewall software
    c) drive encryption software

Make a full OS backup with a program like Macrium Reflect (free)
Macrium Software | Macrium Reflect Free

Go here and get the Media Creation Tool and save it to your desktop.
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

RUN the Media Creation Tool and use it to: Create an ISO image... save IT to your desktop.
This will be the latest "available" version of the ISO image.

Right click the ISO image and choose: MOUNT
Open File Explorer and you will see a new drive letter. It will look like a DVD optical drive.
Double click the new drive letter to open it.
Find setup.exe and double click it to start the in-place upgrade.

Choose the Keep personal files and apps option.

After it's all done... to UNmount the ISO image, right click the new drive letter and choose: EJECT.

The ONLY thing you will lose is some of your personalizations. Your programs and data will be intact.

If the user has uninstalled Edge Chromium, this update fails as noted at the head of the first page.

One resolution, as stated, is to reinstall it.
Another, leaving it uninstalled, is given here (removing an empty redundant folder):
PSA: KB5003173 installation fails if Chromium Edge has been removed

    @ksio89

The reason I recommended a bigger drive is because you need one.

How Much Free Space Should You Leave on Your Windows PC?

You only have a few options.

    1. Clean install
    2. In-Place Upgrade
    3. Delete some things from the drive (make more free space).
    4. Get a bigger drive
    5. Move some things off your hard drive, to an external drive.

that's right. no ISOs with .985 for 2004/20H2/21H1 available until at least next Tues. 5/18 (at least for MVS/MSDN users - these guys get them first before the public)

Isn't it possible to get it from uupdump.net?

The official build number for Windows 10 May 2021 (21H1) is 19043.28 already released to Beta and RP. On my non-production machine my Winver shows 21H1 Build 19043.985, which means I am already heading toward 21H2.
