I think that it probably took longer than usual to install after I restarted it. I'm not sure though. I'm always away from the computer after it restarts. I was away from it for like five minutes instead of my usual ten.

Ran SFC, found and fixed some errors. Ran SFC again and DISM no errors.
That happens on all my fresh 20H2 installs like clockwork. (before the actual Windows updates)
    (also happens on other PCs)

So I let SFC run and complain at the end, before I manually initiate Windows Update installs. Then I never saw a corruption report again, so far.

    Updated from 20H2 19042.928, to 19042.985.

From 'Check for DL', back to desktop ~ Twelve (12) minutes.

    SFC and DISM, all good.

    They're making a list,
    They're checking it twice,
They're gonna find out who's naughty or nice
    Windows Update's coming to town

They see you when you're sleeping
    They know when you're awake
They know if you made backups
    So backup for goodness sake

    You better watch out!
    You better not lie
You better backup, I'm telling you why
Cause Updates they are coming, to town.

Don't know, I wanted an original name but it seems it comes from a tv show. So got nipped with that.

I noticed that, too, even with my 3rd-gen Ryzen system.

OTOH, believe it or not, the Haswell build that I have, (in the sig) hardly takes any longer, it's snappy, no "hang at "Getting ready" syndrome".

Updates: I did the 3rd-gen Ryzen system first, (Windows 10 Home) then the 4th-gen Core i5 system. (Windows 10 Pro)

This update was short (<15') and installed (WUA automatic) flawless on my 20H2 Home version
