I actually prefer Fahrenheit because it's what I grew up with!
One other thing that I've noticed has changed recently is that the temperature display on the Edge homepage always used to show Celsius, and although you could change it to Fahrenheit, it wouldn't remember it and it would go back to Celsius again.
That now seems to be fixed as well.
After more than 25 years in Canada, I understand both systems, although Canada converted to metric long time ago most older folks still talk in Imperial measures and I used to have 2 sets of tools which was expensive.

Of course apps only have the Fahrenheit option because the Americans still use it!
If they didn't, it probably wouldn't be still available as a setting at all I'm sure.

I don't think so, my APP correctly identified location and set everything in metric as it is here. This new one I have to reset to metric every time although location is right.

Presumably it thinks you're in the States, I can't think of anywhere else where it would default to Fahrenheit.
Is your location set correctly in Bing, that seems to be where the system gets a lot of its information about you from on Edge?
The "News and Interests" thing on the taskbar seems to just be an extension of Edge as far as I can see.

Mine does remember location and °Celsius .

Did you set it in Weather card, or in browser only?

Both but don't have the problem in the APP.
