Anyone else notice that on all computers MS defender updates gave error message and failed to install? Haven’t noticed this before. Maybe my pipelines aren’t clean and clear!
Yes, indeed, I had this issue on both of my machines this morning. That was very weird and a bit scary. First thing that came to mind : Virus or Malware. Troubleshooting Updates didn't seem to be able to fix the issue. I had to run . bat file for resetting Windows Update to finally see some relief.

    Also, 21376.1 installed easy-peasy:

Weather app still does not remember the location.
But when pinned and launched from Start, it is OK.

I didn't get it, but if you go some posts behind you'll see you are not the only one. Restarting the machine seems to help in fixing the issue (not sure though).

It's known problem. From the first page (known issues):

We’re working on a fix for an issue where after updating to this build, some devices may show a warning in the tray indicating your version of Windows 10 has reached end of service.
MS is Working on the fix...
