They don't mention 2016 or 2019, but they have always applied to them as well.

I have Office 2019, and they apply to it for me.

I've always just manually checked for updates like below.

Check for Updates in Office 2016 and Office 2019 for Windows

It's basically just a way to manually check for updates no matter how Office 2016/2019 was installed.
