So I've been struggling for a long time trying to get good sound quality on my AirPods Pro. The sound quality on both Macs and iPhones is really good even when I'm using both the microphone and the headphone (Zoom calls). I thought that with this update we would have a similar thing but I still get good sound quality only when the mic is turned off (just by switching to another mic in Zoom Windows would switch the audio profile to a high quality one). As soon as I turn on the mic the sound quality becomes horrible and very hard to listen to. Is there a solution for that? Isn't this AAC codec used in headset mode?
Windows will never do AAC or LDAC as rivals Apple and Sony use them and AAC is not that good anyhow esp. as 250Kb (but means they can can claim good battery life).
SBC should sound ok (even though crippled by QUALCOMM) and Win 10 supports AptX now.
The Bluetooth stack in Window shares resource so when you use the mic part of headphone you drop to Tape Recorder quality instead of CD quality, this can change now with BT5.2 and soon LE+LC3 Audio.
The changelog does mention that this version implements AAC for Bluetooth. I know about Windows lowering the sound quality when the microphone is connected. My question is: why doesn't this happen on iPhones and Mac's?
How do I uninstall this update, please? It's broken my split screen options and is causing hangs...
I don't see "Windows 10 Insider Preview 21370.1 (co_release)" listed in the uninstallable updates list... :-/
