I did but there is no progress indicator on the restart any more so you can't tell if it's hanging.

If Windows Defender is easily broken then I might go back to Panda. I'm fast losing faith in it. On 'Windows Official' clicking on Protection History produces nothing. On 'Windows Dev', clicking on Protection History and all hell breaks out.

Can't get excited about it. If I want to know what the weather is doing I just look out the window. Old fashioned I know but it works.
