@AndreTen: not to my knowledge, but I don't use it anyway (Cortana, that is). Thanks for asking,
Because Cortana and News are dependent on each other

Working fine here, my machine on 21H1 Beta channel, and my partner's on RP.
Thanks. I guess there may be drawbacks to circumventing the proper beta and RP channels.

Do you get the "news and interests" taskbar option?

    I don't.

Not in any of the Insider programs at the moment, just used the posted Enablement KB file to switch to 21H1 and a download of KB5001391. The version number shown is 19043.962.
My laptop is on the same build in the beta channel and didn't get the "news and interests" feature, could it be related to the fact that i don't use English as the default language of the O.S.?

If one has "Cortana" disabled, "News and Interests" will never see the light of the day. Even if Cortana is enabled, one might have "News and Interests" showing one day and not showing one or two days later. MS is probably still testing with this feature. On what grounds it will show or not, MS is the only one to have the cryptic answer.

I had reason to restore from a Macrium image backup I had made earlier today, After restoration I lost the new news/weather taskbar thingie and also the Windows Settings account picture and etc. WTH? I swear Windows 10 is seriously devolving - it is going to blow.

Oh. Interesting. Thank you for info! :)
But I'm using Primo Ramdisk. And updating is complicated because of "licence"
ImDisk was installed with Easy2Boot and I don't think it's affected.
