I don't think it's the entire CU that the KIR reverses, just the part causing the issue. Being a CU 1330 would also contain non security changes.

I believe you're absolutely right Keith.
KIR definitely doesn't reverse the entire KB and as you said, KB5001330 also contains non-security changes, regardless if it is issued on a patch Tuesday!
You are definitely right guys. See previous post #256 where I stood corrected.

The fact remains Ed, that we do get the damn thing (i.e. KIR), regardless of the usage of the device (gaming or not).
Now how good or bad this is, let's give it some time hoping that it will show....

Until proven otherwise, I personally think KIRs are a great idea.

I certainly and honestly think KIR feature looks promising. Same thing can be said for the Edge process classifications and new Eco Mode in Task Manager.

I totally agree on its usefulness!!!

My only objection is its provision mechanism....which is not totally clear, to me. Other than that, it sounds like a clean, quick way to respond to problematic code!

Only time will tell. One positive aspect of KIR, it doesn't deal with security bugs which per se don't give bad actors any opportunity to mess with one's system.

    Dumb question......

Is everybody supposed to see this? Is it out to all or is it a slow wave from Redmond? Should have seen it by now?

I'm taking my queues from https://www.windowslatest.com/2021/0...rmance-issues/

Thanks, Dimitri. I've check once, twice a day since last Saturday. I'll slow down to once every 3 days, that'll guarantee it will show.......
