Damn it! This closed folder look has got to go!

Every time I go to a folder, or create one, or move one..., I'm paranoid it's lost it's content!!!

MS really fecked up on this one!!!

    Hi folks
Does W10 Enterprise (any version) or W10 LTS come riddled with so much crapware. The servers are brilliant compared with the standard desk top OS. Why not go back to 3 editions -- W10 Junkware edition, W10 standard (reasonable) edition and W10 Streamlined / business edition !!! then people can really use the OS that they want on a desktop.

They could charge users less at retail for the W10 Junkware edition and a bit more for the rest - same as Amazon charges about 15 EUR more for a kindle without the built in advertising.

While new builds are of course experimental etc I don't really see how anybody could make sensible tests for deploying these on "Every day / Production" desktops if they still run as cludgy as the last few builds seem to have been.

Is there also any way to "nLite" a version of W10 to "de-crapify" it. I don't know much about Windows internals but I'm sure there's people out there who can compare say W10 Enterprise / LTS with the standard consumer editions and find loads of junk that can be removed to streamline it.

While Windows has to serve a different market to say Linux surely there should be some "lite" version available where users who know what they are doing could just add extra applications etc by choice while those who want a straight OOBE version could have that too.

    Cheers

One's junkware could be somebody's "Treasureware" . Many learned how to use mouse by playing with Solitaire, Mine and Paint.

    Hi there
I still like Spider Solitaire !!!!! Even play it on Windows 2019 Server !!!!However the point was that most of this stuff should (or could) be user selectable.

If all "extras" were selectable there would be endless complaints about complicated setup. Can't will them all.
