This "Modern" APP ?
This is first time I see it.
Edit:
Did repair install and graphic performance is much better.
I'm not on the AMD laptop at the moment but that's the bu***r I learnt how to get rid of. That comes from WU. To get the proper driver from AMD to stay installed you'll have to leave that installed and install 'over the top'. Other wise if you select to clean install the drivers from AMD then WU takes over again !!

This APP looks like a mini version of full AMD Radeon graphic card control panel. This APP doesn't exist in regular Windows builds. As far as driver goes, no, WU didn't touch drivers but that may be because I stopped WU driver updates long time ago. Thank you but no thank you MS, I'm quite capable of installing an updating drivers without MS help.

Ok. Just check what's been installed in WU. That app is lacking in showing the driver version we're used to.
I could not get this build from uupdump. net (previously uupdump.ml) on my Hyper-V VM. The conversion to .ISO gave errors on two attempts. Finally, Windows Update took over with a prompt telling me not to turn off the computer as if an update was being installed but I didn't see it — to be honest, I definitely did not understand this one, i.e., MS has never stopped to amaze me.
All in all, after the seemingly or ostensible update process I went and checked Winver and there I was on 21354.1 Co-Release for Cobalt:

You could just download ISO directly, have a look at first post.
Fixed my taskbar issue I mentioned earlier it was nothing to do with anything I had done other than I opted to hide the new horrid Weather/News Feed.
You are right turning on "News and Interest" brought back "Notifications Area"...
I really hope that this is a bug and not MS forcing people to use what they don't wanted.

Well after I installed an NVIDIA Driver things stopped working right. I had to change the 60Hz to 144Hz and the color just was off. It also is kind of Bloated. It used 45Gb of space and that was after I cleaned up the stores. I can see MS forcing users to use their drivers . I also don't like the dual boot process. Yesterday the weather was showing in the taskbar and today it was gone. I would think that future builds will be better. It was kind of fast though.
