I really hope that this is a bug and not MS forcing people to use what they don't wanted.

In the Microsoft build notes they say that not everyone in the Dev channel is getting News and Interests anymore. I'm one of those... Which is fine by me, as I don't care for Edge. Such a pity Microsoft cannot construct the feature to use the default browser--that seems simple enough--it's just a bunch of URLs.

I saw it and it is a new way for MS of doing things, I mean .iso for an Insider Build. Maybe, I am mistaken but I don't think I have seen it before. In a way, I am so used to doing this with uupdump when it comes to Insider Builds. Next time I will know better if there is still an .iso

I must be lucky. I lost News and Interest a few builds back and my Notification Area still works. I didn't like the way News and Interest popped up every time my mouse would scroll over it so I turned it off. Now it seems to be gone for good. Or at least for now.
I consider us both lucky in that regard...

I hate that they ignore pinned taskbar shortcuts and open as separate icons instead.
All of my pinned taskbar shortcuts work fine.

Thanks Brink...but I no longer have News & Interests at all. Pretty sure Microsoft said in their build notes that some in the Dev channel would get it and some wouldn't.

Something is strange with these builds...I never lost my snipping tool. Can't figure why you would have lost yours, unless Microsoft is playing roulette with Dev channel feature distribution. They've admitted to doing that with News & Interests--which is completely missing from my last 2-3 builds.
Interesting, I just checked one of my IP Dev machines, Snip & Sketch and Snippy are both listed in the S section of the Start menu. Where Snippy is in Windows Accessories on my RTM computer there is no Windows Accessories on the Dev computer's Start menu.

Correct. Microsoft reversed the A/B testing for News and Interests. Those that did have it now don't, and those that didn't have it now do.

It'll eventually be released for all though.

Not mine, shortcut is on the left and the notepad opens on the right. Store apps = only problems.

I'd be interested to see the detail of the OFF.bat which I assume is a script to gracefully shutdown your PC
I've been looking for a shortcut to save having to manually close all my running apps when a shutdown is required
